Job Summary

The MDS Nurse plays a crucial role in the planning, organization, and evaluation of activities for the professional and supportive nursing staff engaged in resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate care provided to each resident and maintain up-to-date care plans.
  • Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and assist in assessing and evaluating potential admissions.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to ensure ongoing care and provide the best quality of life possible.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working as a licensed nurse with the senior population preferred.
  • Resident Assessment Coordinator-Certified (RAC-CT), management or supervisory experience preferred.
