About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing patients for and assisting with interventional procedures in collaboration with interventional radiologists and nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Complete quality control procedures and perform notification/remediation as warranted
  • Assist with departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, and more
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Preferred: Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology
