Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for assessing patients and performing routine radiographic procedures in accordance with prescribed safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
  • Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
  • Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
  • Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards
  • Assist in departmental operations, including inventory management and staff scheduling
Requirements
  • Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible for registration within 90 days of employment
  • Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
  • Radiologic technology experience
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods. The position also requires exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue.
