Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and evaluate highly innovative models for risk management using machine learning and statistical techniques.
- Work closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations.
- Collaborate with operations staff to optimize risk management operations and establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation.
- Track general business activity and provide clear, compelling management reporting on a regular basis.
- Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches to stay ahead of emerging risks.
- Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or equivalent quantitative field.
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related languages.
- Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (e.g., Oracle) or Data Warehouse.
- Preferred qualifications include experience implementing algorithms using both toolkits and self-developed code, as well as publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
