Job Title: Facilities Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of capital infrastructure projects supporting critical building operations and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage mid to high-level scope projects, plan and coordinate facility renovations, layouts, assembly line relocations, lab builds, equipment updates, and utility support.
  • Ensure facilities compliance with OSHA, EPA, applicable codes (NEC, IBC, ADA) and local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Develop implementation schedules for maintenance and/or subcontractor activities relating to facilities modernization, coordinating those activities to minimize production/operation delays or lost time.
  • Investigate need for new facilities and mechanical equipment; participate in make or buy decision.
  • Develop specifications for MEP systems and necessary utilities, which support facilities project implementation.
  • Ensure technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in electrical.
  • 2-4 years of project management experience and/or related experience in facilities management/operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of building infrastructure and support systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and fire protection systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with project management software solutions, specifically ones tailored to construction management.
  • Experience with construction and renovation projects within the aerospace and defense industry requiring adherence to specific ICDs and DoD construction standards.
  • Proficiency with construction design software solutions such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BlueBeam Revu and electrical software such as SKM Powertools.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of building codes, specifically as they relate to the NEC, NFPA, and all state and federal regulations.
  • Project Management Professional Certification, PMP.
