About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Cleaner to join our team at ABM Industries. As a Lead Cleaner, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of cleaners, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure effective cleaning operations
  • Communicate with clients, customers, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Report performance issues to the Supervisor and implement corrective actions
  • Assist with the training of new cleaning team members
  • Coordinate work assignments and schedules to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned buildings, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage security of keys and access cards for the property
  • Report work orders for maintenance and ensure timely completion
  • Ensure premises are secured at all times
  • Work with the Manager to schedule jobs with Property Manager and cleaning crew to complete the work
  • Oversee quality of jobs and confirm completion with the Manager
  • Provide training to all new hires assigned to the building
  • Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly and complete order forms accurately
  • Coordinate equipment usage and inventories
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No experience required, on-the-job training provided
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • One year of similar work experience preferred
