Stationary Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Stationary Engineer at St. Joseph's Healthcare System, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, and generators. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain all boilers, electric and steam chillers, cooling towers, variable frequency drives, air compressors, and related auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain all emergency generators, fuel storage tanks, and associated equipment.
• Operate and maintain all cogeneration units, condensers, waste heat boilers, pneumatic and electric controls, and related auxiliary equipment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three to five years of previous work-related experience.
• Blue Seal Stationary Engineers License required.
• Blue Seal Refrigeration License preferred.
• Confined Space Certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Compliance with Qualifications to Drive a System Vehicle and all policies outlined in the SJHS Fleet Management & Safety Program.
