We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Patient Services Representative to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a key member of our Primary Care Group, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Responsibilities- Perform patient check-in/check-out functions and appointment scheduling to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Coordinate patient flow and provide timely notification of issues that may result in service delays or denials.
- Function as a role model and mentor for less experienced staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Contribute to patient, employee, and physician satisfaction by providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Enter patient and operational data into various database systems with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure patient information is conveyed to others appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Five years of experience in a related role within healthcare, including three years of experience in a related role.
- Strong customer service, phone, and scheduling skills.
- Basic computer skills in word processing applications and ability to utilize software systems such as the electronic medical record.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and revenue cycle components.
