Overview

The Benedictine Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Fundraising Leader to join our team. This key role will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising strategies to meet the organization's financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to secure adequate donations and meet annual philanthropy goals.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to determine community needs and fundraising priorities.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors to support the organization's mission.
  • Partner with the Benedictine Support Center team to develop and execute the annual giving plan, including donor acquisition and renewal, and the associate giving program.
  • Coordinate all gift activity, ensuring timely donation deposits and donor stewardship.
  • Oversee donor/prospect data and maintain stringent and consistent practices for confidential handling and release of information.
  • Work independently with organizational skills to prioritize tasks and exercise judgment consistent with core values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in fundraising, development, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in asking for charitable gifts and planning special events.
  • Experience in working with volunteer boards.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
  • Ability to travel within the Twin Cities area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
  • Donor/gift/constituent database experience.
  • Grant writing experience.
  • Experience in the coordination and support of volunteer leaders.
  • Management or leadership experience.

Salary Range

$75,000-$85,000
