POSITION SUMMARY:

The selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive 4-8 week onboarding and educational program, which includes rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, with the aim of becoming a Retail Personal Banker II.

Upon completion of the program, candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their skills through a certification process, demonstrating their readiness for the Retail Personal Banker role.

This position is primarily focused on sales and relationship management, emphasizing the promotion of deposits, loans, fee-based services, and customer retention.

Responsibilities include offering a complete range of banking products and services tailored to meet the needs of both existing and prospective customers, while ensuring exceptional service and care.

Utilizing a consultative sales approach, candidates will engage with customers, leveraging prescribed tools and collaborating with staff for referral opportunities.

Accountability for risk management is essential, involving open communication of ideas and concerns, and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Consistently prioritizing the customer experience, candidates will ensure their actions foster positive interactions and outcomes.

While operating within the Bank's risk parameters, candidates will achieve results by identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting various types of risks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Employ the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to develop comprehensive customer profiles and identify financial needs.

- Maintain extensive knowledge of retail consumer and small business products/services, recommending suitable solutions aligned with our value proposition.

- Utilize approved marketing tools to proactively engage customers and schedule appointments for financial reviews.

- Focus on cross-selling to the existing customer base and participate in outside sales activities as directed.

- Foster strong relationships with assigned Business Partners, referring customers to provide timely and holistic financial solutions.

- Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and production goals, contributing to year-over-year revenue growth.

- Guide Customer Service Representatives in the sales and referral process.

- Promote customer satisfaction through a friendly and professional demeanor.

- Address customer inquiries confidently and take ownership of customer issues.

- Uphold confidentiality and maintain a position of trust and responsibility.

- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, ensuring ethical behavior at all times.

- Adhere to established policies and procedures while managing the full range of retail products.

- Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard processes, overseeing sourced loans from application to closing.

- Assist in the opening and closing processes of the Financial Center as directed.

- Stay informed on retail procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and manage risk.


SUPERVISORY ROLE:

No supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- A college degree or relevant work experience that provides transferable skills.

- Experience in the financial sector is preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to engage in sales activities aimed at acquiring new customers and cross-selling to existing ones.

- Proficiency in advanced math functions for analyzing credit and financial information.

- Ability to represent Fifth Third Bank professionally in appearance and communication.

- Understanding of retail policies and procedures to make sound decisions.

- This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration upon employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Standard office environment with extended computer screen viewing.

- Flexibility in scheduling and travel may be required for training purposes.
