Position Summary
Barking Frog, a renowned restaurant in Woodinville, is celebrated for its innovative seasonal menus and an impressive selection of wines. We seek a passionate culinary professional to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be creative, motivated, and eager to develop their culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the activities of Line Cooks and Kitchen Stewards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to design and refine recipes and menus based on seasonal ingredient availability and guest counts.
- Ensure the quality of raw and cooked food products meets established standards.
- Inspect kitchen supplies, equipment, and work areas for compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Order necessary food and supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
- Document production and operational data accurately.
- Facilitate effective communication among kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest requests promptly.
- Oversee kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and shredding as needed.
- Regulate cooking temperatures and methods for various food items.
- Season and taste dishes to ensure quality.
- Present food attractively on serving plates.
- Maintain reliable attendance and a professional appearance.
- Exhibit teamwork and a willingness to assist colleagues.
- Continuously seek to improve culinary skills and knowledge.
- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Build strong relationships with guests and coworkers.
- Meet sanitation and food handling standards.

- Hourly Wage: $28.50
- Eligible for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

- Accrue 11 days of paid time off in the first year for full-time employees.
- 2-3 years of culinary leadership experience in a professional kitchen.
- Active Washington State Food Handler's Permit.
- Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Proficient in using kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
