Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host to join our team at Barking Frog Restaurant. The successful candidate will provide guests with a positive, welcoming, and gracious first impression of the restaurant, both in person and on the phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners.
- Greets guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus.
- Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.
- Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
- Prepares beverages and expedites food orders.
- Stocks and maintains necessary items in host stand.
- Communicates closely with Manager on Duty.
- Works as a team player to maintain a courteous, professional, and helpful attitude towards all guests.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly wage of $20.50, plus tips. Eligible employees also receive medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and life insurance under our existing group plans. Additionally, we offer a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match following one year of service under our existing plan, and 11 days of PTO accrued in the first year based on an employee working 40 hours each week.
Qualifications:
- Previous high-end dining room host experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Open Table preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Engaging and welcoming personality.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current WA State Food Handler's Permit.
- Current WA State MAST Permit.
