OVERNIGHT POSITION:
This role is designated for the night shift (Graveyard, 3rd Shift).

OBJECTIVE:
The primary responsibility is to prepare and arrange filled product containers onto pallets in accordance with customer requirements for storage and distribution. This position also involves providing support to the Low Moisture Packaging Operator, possessing comprehensive knowledge of equipment operations.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Assist the Low Moisture Packaging Operator in daily tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

All tasks must be performed while complying with Tree Top operational guidelines, safety protocols, and good manufacturing practices. Regular attendance is a critical component of this role, and it is the duty of every employee to report any food safety or quality concerns to authorized personnel.

The organizational structure outlines key personnel authorized to take necessary actions. This is a representative sample and not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.


Ensure Compliance with Customer Specifications:
Verify that machinery and equipment are functioning properly and ready for production. Confirm that equipment settings align with product specifications and startup parameters. Regularly check and calibrate scales as needed. Inspect boxes, liners, plastic bags, and labels for accuracy, ensuring all labels contain the required item numbers and date codes.

Effective Communication:
Share information with the Low Moisture Packaging Operator, Supervisors, Quality Technicians, and colleagues. Collaborate with Maintenance and Supervisors to investigate any foreign material issues and promptly notify Mechanics of any problems.

Prepare Containers for Palletization:
Compress products as necessary and label containers accordingly. Seal liners and tape boxes as required. Ensure that all labeling on boxes is accurate. Support the ongoing operations in the Low Moisture Packaging and Puff Areas by adjusting flake roll thickness, calcium stearate, and nitrogen levels. Maintain proper belt tracking and cleanliness of equipment. Ensure that oilers and machinery are operating correctly. Regularly check scales and sealers for functionality. Change Sweco screens as needed and confirm that the Baghouse system is operational. Operate and monitor the case erector, bag inserter, and Powell auto-filler, ensuring that rejects are managed appropriately. Maintain adequate supplies in the packaging area and ensure the puff tunnel is charged and operating at the correct PPM. Verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and communicate findings to the lab, mechanics, operators, and supervisors. Ensure waste is properly disposed of.

Monitor and Control Product Quality:
Inspect production lines to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP). Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times. Blend in rework products as directed by the supervisor.

Team Collaboration:
Support co-workers whenever possible and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork. Adhere to industrial and food safety standards, including proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, Haz-Com, and Chemical Safety protocols. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point procedures. Always wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and identify and report any unsafe conditions or actions to the supervisor during the shift. Comply with all other relevant safety regulations.
