Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team at Contra Costa Community College District. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to an assigned executive manager, including preparing reports, scheduling, and coordinating departmental activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the executive and the public, students, staff, and other campus officials, exercising good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • Assist with budget preparation and administration, including preparing cost estimates, examining and verifying fiscal records, and maintaining budget records.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of files and records, including payroll, budget, staff vacation, sick leave, and schedule changes.
  • Research and prepare complex reports and analyses, including statistical reports, and prepare and proofread a wide variety of documents.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience performing broad and increasingly responsible clerical and administrative duties.
  • Possession of an Associate degree from an accredited college, or the equivalent.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures, practices, and technology/equipment, as well as modern software applications.
  • Ability to keyboard with accuracy, perform responsible and complex clerical work with accuracy and speed, and meet multiple established timelines and deadlines without immediate supervision.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with database management, reporting, entry, and quality control.
  • Ability to create written and graphics content for annual reports, newsletters, and social media.
  • Experience with event planning and logistics.
