## Job Summary:
The Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Development Director with a focus on Major Gifts to join our leadership team. This role is critical in driving our fundraising efforts and expanding our network of major donors.
## Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts ($25,000+). Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
* Build and maintain relationships with current and potential major donors. Provide exceptional stewardship to ensure donor satisfaction and continued support.
* Lead major gift campaigns and initiatives. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.
* Create and implement a comprehensive major gifts strategy. Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance donor outreach and engagement.
* Work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and development team to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and activities.
* Monitor and report on fundraising progress. Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of major gift strategies and adjust as needed.
## Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit development, with a focus on major gifts and donor relations.
* Proven success in securing major gifts and managing donor portfolios.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Passion for the mission of the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation and a commitment to supporting the Hispanic community in Detroit.
