Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Operations: Ensure the safe and efficient transportation of clients and staff, including secured transport of individuals under the Baker Act.
  • Fleet Management: Supervise the maintenance of 33 vehicles, including scheduling and monitoring vendor services for cost efficiency.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Compile monthly transportation reports and submit them to finance, as well as participate in semi-annual and annual inspections with auditors from the FDOT and Manatee Co.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise transportation staff, including PRNs and part-time positions, and delegate individual routes, holiday coverage, and special assignments.
  • Disciplinary Issues and Performance Appraisals: Manage disciplinary issues and complete performance appraisals in a timely manner.
  • GPS Tracking and Time Studies: Monitor Synovia Solution GPS tracking devices and complete Medicare Time Studies for transportation department employees.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This position requires moderate physical exertion, including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying work-related supplies and equipment. The work environment is generally safe, but hazardous conditions may arise, requiring proper preparation.
