Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler/Driver II to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our space operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials and components for our space programs and development projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Purchase Order receipts, including uploading documentation.
  • Perform daily stocking activities to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Fulfillment of Work Order hardware and support equipment requirements.
  • Collect and prepare items for shipment out of the plant.
  • Deliver hardware, kits, or support equipment to manufacturing areas.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain stocking areas to accommodate adjusting volumes and storage requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in stocking and material handling processes.
  • Safely and securely handle product with a forklift and/or pallet jack.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of inventory control experience, including handling, inventory, and handling of energetic systems, hazardous waste materials, and raw metals.
  • Mathematical skills, including calculating percentages, area, circumference, volume, and conversion of Units of Measure and Weights.
  • Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform elevated work.
  • A demeanor of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Must be able to work A Shift: M-F 6am-330pm.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical, or military environments.
  • APICS certification or desire to acquire.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree.
  • Forklift Certified.
