About the Role
At JTI, we're looking for a dynamic and passionate Procurement Category Manager to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our multi-functional team, you'll be responsible for the procurement activities of the General & Professional services, T&E, and IT category of spend in North America.
What You'll Do
- Lead North America procurement category managers for the Services category.
- Act as a set category liaison for Global Category Managers.
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Category Management principles and develop and coordinate Regional/Local implementation plans as per Global/Regional directions.
- Ensure business connectivity and foster collaborative business partnership with specific stakeholders.
- Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with key regional suppliers.
- Ensure cluster alignment and compliance with strategies.
- Be a role model in compliance and ethics.
What We're Looking For
A dynamic, passionate, and result-oriented person with:
- Minimum of 7 years in indirect Procurement area, preferably in a multinational company, with team-leading experience.
- Knowledgeable in the development and execution of procurement policies and procedures to a high standard as well as a good knowledge of SRM process.
- Excellent understanding and experience in category management and strategic sourcing process.
- Business, financial and contract acumen.
- Comfortable leading and driving commercial negotiations.
- Strong and demonstrated communication skills.
- Ability to work under limited supervision, exercise independent judgment, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience and knowledge of identified categories and industry best practices is an asset.
