Job Summary:

The Medical Office Assistant will provide administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team at Upstate University Hospital. This role will involve a combination of clerical and patient care responsibilities, requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to healthcare staff, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Assist with clinical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and efficient patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program or one year experience directly related to the medical field.
  • Current CPR certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Work Environment:

This role will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional patient care.

Salary Information:

The salary for this role is $25.88 per hour, based on internal equity, market, and business considerations.
