About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relationship Manager to join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Inc. As a key member of our commercial banking team, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with large and complex commercial clients, providing a range of financial services and solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored financial solutions to meet those needs.
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial relationships, including credit analysis, risk assessment, and loan structuring.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients, including cash management, treasury services, and other specialized products.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to enhance our services and offerings.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, or business development.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending and appraisal guidelines.
