Job Title: Ambulatory Surgery Center- Charge Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team in our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all nursing activities, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the surgery suite.
  • Supervise and direct nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and ensure adequate staffing.
  • Manage medical supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient environment.
  • Coordinate administrative duties to ensure proper functioning of the department.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Program to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree and current CA RN license required.
  • 3 years prior experience in a management role required.
  • Supervisory experience, with fiscal responsibility in a for-profit healthcare setting (ambulatory surgical center experience preferred).
  • ACLS certified.
  • Familiarity with State and Medicare accreditation requirements.
  • Proficient in computer programs including Excel and Word, and prior experience with billing and EMR systems/software.

Work Environment:

  • In office at our Cathedral City (Palm Springs area)

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate equipment, and to talk and hear.
  • The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
