Senior Accountant - Construction

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team in Irvine. This Construction Accountant position will be responsible for handling all accounting aspects related to projects, including GL Accounting, project accounting, project billing, and percentage of completion. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers to ensure projects stay on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end activities such as miscellaneous journals, loan draws, project job costing, project billing, percentage of completion, AP coding/processing, project budget analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare project financial packages including costs, variances, margin, and other KPIs.
  • Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze and present financial data.
  • Collaborate with project managers to identify and address financial discrepancies.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
