About the Position

The Youth Development Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal growth of our preschoolers. As a member of our teaching team, you will assist the Lead Teacher in designing and delivering engaging lesson plans, ensuring that every child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to develop and implement curriculum that meets the unique needs of our students
  • Participate in classroom activities, providing individualized support to ensure every child's success
  • Contribute to creating a positive, respectful, and organized classroom atmosphere
  • Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining accurate records of student progress and development

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with children aged 3-5 years old in a certified childcare setting
  • Previous experience teaching in an inclusion-focused environment, supporting students with varying needs
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, frequent bending, crouching, and sitting on the floor
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
