Critical Care Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans.
Job Summary:The Critical Care Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in our Neuro ICU unit, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, and brain tumors.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, medication, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform bedside procedures, such as intubation, arterial and central line placement, and EVD.
- Monitor and manage post-procedure patients, including those undergoing TPA, Thrombectomy, Pipeline Stent, Cerebral Aneurysm Coiling or Clipping.
- Manage and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and ventilator settings.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, manage multi-system organ failure, and follow IV insulin protocols.
- 3 years of minimum ICU experience required.

- Must be able to manage continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration, and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive drips.
- Competency in ventilator management is necessary.
- Patient Diagnoses include stroke, seizures, subdural hematoma, and other neurological conditions.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details include post-procedure monitoring, bedside procedures, and management of critically ill patients.
- Special Equipment familiarity required includes BIS, TOF, Arctic Sun, EEG, FloTrac, A-line, Central Line, Zoll Intravascular Cooling, Bolt, EVD, and Camino ICP.
- EPIC experience is required.
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers.
