Job Summary

The Pre-Admissions Manager is a critical role within the Grady Health System, responsible for overseeing the monthly schedule and payroll actions for all Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) in the Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT) clinic. This position requires a high level of organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the monthly schedule and payroll actions for all NPs and PAs in the PAT clinic, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee data.
  • Complete all performance evaluations and rounding for NPs and PAs in the PAT clinic, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate the preparation of patients and their charts for surgery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Oversee the work of other NPs and PAs in the PAT clinic, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Department Regulatory standards, including CMS and Joint Commission requirements.
  • Report to the Director of Anesthesia, providing regular updates and insights on clinic operations and performance.
Qualifications
  • Masters degree from an accredited program for Primary Care Physician Assistants or Masters degree from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioner (Clinical Specialist) required.
  • Either current Georgia State Physician Assistant license or Georgia Advanced Practice Nursing License is required.
  • Two (2) years experience in a Surgical Pre-admission testing environment or other comparable setting.
  • Current certification by the NCCPA or ANCC.
  • Previous experience in Anesthesia is preferred.
