Job Summary:

MBI Industrial Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional healthcare services to patients in an occupational medicine setting. As a Physician Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physician to deliver high-quality patient care and adhere to established clinical practice principles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review past medical history, family history, social history, and review of symptoms to determine capacity to safely perform specified job functions.
  • Perform physical examinations, including review of vital signs, vision, hearing, and electrocardiograms.
  • Review and interpret radiographs of the chest, back, and/or extremities to determine the presence of a pre-existing condition prior to beginning work.
  • Evaluate and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries, work-related injuries to the head, chest, or abdomen, and other occupational health conditions.
  • Recommend appropriate over-the-counter medications, application of heat or cold, referral for home exercise training, prescription of medications and therapy, and ordering and interpretation of radiographs.
  • Referral for specialized testing, such as MRI or EMG, as necessary and appropriate.
  • Identification of appropriate limitations to activity at home and work.
  • Rendering an opinion regarding causality and work-relatedness.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree and valid, unrestricted state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
  • FMCSA certification for DOT exams, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • NRCME certification.
  • Ability to exercise high levels of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to meet organizational goals in a dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with clear and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and customer service orientation; ability to build relationships with staff, patients, and clients.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.
