Medicine for Business and Industry is a leading provider of occupational medicine services, with a network of 31 outpatient clinics across Colorado, Arizona, California, and Nevada. We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician Specialist to join our team on a PRN basis.

About the Role

The Occupational Health Physician Specialist will provide healthcare services to patients in clinic and via tele-medicine, following established clinical principles and organizational plans. Key responsibilities include providing medical opinions on job accommodations, reviewing radiographs to determine pre-existing pulmonary conditions, participating in workers' compensation legal processes, and performing Fit for Duty evaluations.

Evaluation and Management

The successful candidate will evaluate and manage common occupational musculoskeletal injuries, work-related head and chest injuries, lacerations, eye injuries, respiratory symptoms, and non-displaced fractures. They will also be responsible for accurate diagnosis, medically appropriate management, and detailed documentation of current work-related complaints.

Organizational Duties and Responsibilities

The Occupational Health Physician Specialist will support the values, mission, and vision of Medicine for Business and Industry by complying with all organizational policies and procedures. They will also exhibit effective communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and participate in strategic planning activities as requested.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess an MD or DO degree, with experience in occupational medicine preferred but not required. FMCSA certification for DOT exams is preferred but can be obtained within 60 days of hire. Current state licensure and DEA licensure are also required. Excellent communication skills, proficiency in computer use, and strong organizational and time management skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $116.92 to $160.00, depending on experience.
