Job Summary:

The Area Manager of Ride Maintenance is responsible for developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans, policies, and operations functions that clearly define the goals and strategies for the department. This role provides direction and leadership to the Ride Maintenance Supervisor and associates by implementing department programs, encouraging creativity, and inspiring innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain up-to-date maintenance policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Establish and maintain a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective performance and development programs.
• Utilize effective communication to ensure all team members understand department expectations and goals.
• Implement a proactive approach to maintenance planning, including cost, deliveries, equipment, and timeline for upcoming projects and park operations.
• Evaluate and track required and/or necessary preventative maintenance to ensure timeline and costs are maintained and accurate.
• Develop and manage an operating budget, analyzing costs of projects to develop an accurate forecast and plan.
• Evaluate ride reliability and performance to prioritize improvements and increase uptime, contributing to a positive guest experience.
• Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to improve attraction reliability and find cost-saving measures that maintain design integrity.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Valid US driver's license required.
• 1-3 years of supervisor and/or leadership experience, with demonstrated mechanical/electrical maintenance experience and supervisory/management experience.
• Ability to pass a mandatory drug test and background check, if 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
