Compensation:
Salary range: $120,000 - $160,000 annually
About Us:
Our organization is on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Labor & Employment Attorney. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in labor and employment law, demonstrating a history of delivering expert legal counsel and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer legal advice and support on various labor and employment issues, including wage disputes, discrimination cases, workplace harassment, retaliation claims, and wrongful termination.
- Draft and evaluate employment agreements, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to legal standards and safeguard the organization’s interests.
- Represent the organization in labor disputes and litigation, which includes preparing legal documents, negotiating settlements, and advocating in court.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into employee grievances and allegations of misconduct.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and management to create and implement effective strategies for managing labor relations and minimizing employment-related risks.
- Stay informed on the latest changes in labor and employment legislation and advise management on potential implications and necessary actions.
- Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams regarding labor laws and best practices in employment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
- Active admission to the state bar.
- Extensive experience in labor and employment law, ideally within the finance sector.
- Demonstrated expertise as a Labor Law Attorney or Senior Employment Attorney.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor regulations.
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- High level of professionalism and integrity, committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex legal information and providing clear, actionable advice.
