Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP is looking for a seasoned Real Estate Planning/Finance Attorney with a robust background of six (6) to twelve (12) years in managing the intricacies of real estate dealings, including financial instruments. This role provides a chance to thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with various Partners and addressing a range of legal issues within the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of real estate transactions and a solid grasp of financial principles, with opportunities for leadership and development within the firm's Real Estate Practice.

Core Responsibilities

General Duties:

  • Advocate for clients autonomously or in conjunction with other attorneys during meetings, proceedings, and negotiations.
  • Oversee multiple legal cases concurrently and independently.
  • Delegate tasks among associates and support personnel.
  • Draft case theories and memoranda.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on legal matters related to contracts and agreements.
  • Update Senior Management on the progress of cases.
  • Prepare reports to keep the Firm's staff and clients informed about case developments.

Client Relations:

  • Engage with the Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders regarding client matters.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and clarity regarding legal processes.
  • Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, economic factors, and industry needs.

Business Growth:

  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts to expand the practice.
  • Identify new client opportunities through marketing, networking, writing, and speaking engagements.
  • Support the Firm's values and culture by participating in Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono work, and community activities.
  • Mentor associate attorneys and legal assistants, enhancing their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) years of pertinent experience in real estate transactions and financial instruments.
  • Strong leadership abilities with aspirations for growth and advancement within the firm.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple legal matters effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in client relations and business development.
  • Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and Firm values.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $225,000, based on experience and client portfolio.
