Ramp and Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Ramp and Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring the smooth operation of our airport facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist guests with travel needs, including answering inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, and boarding flights.
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions to perform below-wing functions, such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading and unloading luggage and cargo, and marshaling aircraft.
- Perform aircraft grooming and security searches.
- Process and secure guest luggage, including filing and maintaining luggage claims as necessary.
- Load and unload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
- Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
- Ability to perform basic mathematics.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
- Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
- Competitive hourly rate of USD $16.00.
- Free standby travel privileges on Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
