About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Client Service Associate to join our team at Stifel. As a Client Service Associate, you will provide administrative support to our Financial Advisors, assisting with client account maintenance, record-keeping, and other tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Account Maintenance: Assist with opening and maintaining client accounts, including performing clerical functions and organizing records.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to Financial Advisors, including preparing mailings, filing, and answering phone calls.
  • Client Communication: Assist with client communication, including providing quotes and account-related information, and escalating issues to Financial Advisors or Branch Managers as needed.
  • Operational Support: Perform operational or administrative functions for client-related requests, such as check requests, wiring funds, and address changes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide reports and other information to Financial Advisors, as requested.
  • Quality Control: Identify situations that require attention from Financial Advisors or Branch Managers, including suspicious client and/or employee activity or behavior.
Requirements
  • Administrative Knowledge: Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and file management.
  • Industry Knowledge: General understanding of the investment brokerage industry and securities regulations, with basic knowledge of investment products.
  • Time Management: Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to practical problem-solving.
  • Customer and Interpersonal Skills: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exemplary customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken or written form, with excellent grammar and phone/office etiquette.
Education and Experience
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years of clerical or related industry experience.
