The Opportunity

This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations and personnel at our plasma collection center, ensuring the effectiveness of plasma donation processes.

You will report directly to the Center Manager.

The Role

+ In alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manage the daily functions of the center. Provide clear guidance and direction, conduct team meetings, and communicate performance expectations effectively. You may be required to engage in various tasks across work areas. Report any employee relations concerns or escalated donor matters to management.

+ Collaborate with Group Leaders to streamline donor flow throughout the center, reducing wait times and enhancing processing efficiency.

+ Ensure that the center is adequately staffed to support operations based on its size, structure, and donor traffic. Monitor attendance, time card reporting, and overtime utilization.

+ Conduct investigations into errors and propose recommendations for process enhancements.

+ Participate in performance evaluations with management, providing constructive feedback. Document necessary corrective actions in consultation with management. Assist in maintaining current employee training records and performance evaluation documentation.

+ May assist in the recruitment and selection of operational staff for the center.

+ Uphold and advocate for adherence to company policies and procedures.

+ May contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies aimed at improving donor retention.

+ Ensure accurate documentation of donor information in the electronic donor management system as specified in the SOPs.

+ Familiarize yourself with policies and procedures related to hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable.

+ Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring that all necessary operating supplies and forms are readily available. Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Conduct routine audits of internal procedures and documentation.

+ Safeguard the confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.

+ Be prepared to be cross-trained in various technical areas and functions to meet business needs.

+ Bilingual skills may be advantageous, depending on the organization's requirements.

+ Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Your Skills and Experience

Education

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ A Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and relevant professional experience is preferred.

Experience

A minimum of one year of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing the activities of others is required.

Working Conditions

+ Ability to make decisions that moderately impact the immediate work unit.

+ Must be able to see and communicate with customers and observe equipment operations.

+ Occasionally required to perform tasks while standing and walking for extended periods.

+ Capable of reaching, bending, kneeling, and possessing a high level of manual dexterity.

+ Occasionally required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

+ Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

+ Frequently exposed to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.

+ Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in designated areas.

+ Willingness to work overtime and extended hours to meet operational needs.
