Account Executive Job Summary

As an Account Executive at US Foods, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing accounts through personal visits and follow-up. You will work closely with customers to apprise them of mutual performance, new products, and market trends. Your goal will be to achieve annual sales plans through growth and penetration of existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain existing accounts through personal visits and follow-up
  • Present new ideas and products to secure account penetration and loyalty
  • Manage product mix to maximize profit goals and contract compliance
  • Communicate with customers to apprise them of mutual performance, new products, and market trends
  • Lead sales team to ensure optimum service to accounts and meet or exceed accounts receivable currency targets
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred
  • A minimum of three years of sales or distribution experience required (foodservice industry or related preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities
