Executive Endowed Chair in Agricultural Finance

North Dakota State University invites applications for the Executive Endowed Chair in Agricultural Finance. Located in Fargo, North Dakota, this prestigious position is housed in the Department of Agribusiness and Applied Economics and offers a unique opportunity for a distinguished scholar to lead research and teaching programs in agribusiness with an emphasis on finance and risk analysis.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop leadership in the department's research and teaching programs, with a focus on project financial analysis, finance and risk analysis in ag technology, financial management of agribusiness firms, crop insurance, credit scoring, and related areas. The candidate will also be responsible for developing two courses, one at the undergraduate and one at the MS level, in the general areas of agribusiness with an emphasis on ag finance.
Faculty evaluations are based on successful publications in leading disciplinary journals, active participation in professional activities, effective teaching and advising at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, satisfactory service and outreach activities, and successful pursuit of extramural funding sufficient to support an active research program.
The AgCountry Endowed Chair is a 9-month academic year position, with a 70% research and 30% teaching split. The successful candidate will be tenured and hired at either the Associate or Full Professor rank, depending on qualifications.
The estimated salary for this position is commensurate with experience, with a range of $120,000 to $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

To be eligible for this position, applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in agricultural economics or a related discipline, experience in teaching and research in agribusiness, expertise in agribusiness finance and quantitative methods, effective oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to conduct research and disseminate results in leading academic journals.
The successful candidate will also be expected to supervise MS and Ph.D. students, obtain extramural funding to support research activities, communicate research results to clientele groups, and demonstrate consistent and excellent contributions to research and publication, and scholarship.
