About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Assistant to join our team at First State Bank Wyoming. As a Loan Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Loan Department by performing operational tasks, ensuring accuracy, and providing expertise in loan coding and compliance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective loan verification procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze lender documentation checklists to ensure accuracy of fees, loan coding, and exceptions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the bank's documentation software and core system.
  • Upload loans to the core system.
  • Verify loans booked or renewed/extended using Cognos generated reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to documentation.
  • Review title commitments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide accurate and timely loan documents to lenders.
  • Monitor and obtain verification of loan approval limits/authorities.
  • Monitor flood determination information to ensure proper documentation.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare Adverse Action documents and set up scanning files.
  • Print loan documents for lenders.
  • Maintain effective coordination and communication with area personnel and management.
  • Maintain and monitor Collateral Tracking and Data Integrity.
  • Prepare consumer loan documents using Decision Pro and Laserpro.
  • File security documents with county and state.
  • Input tax service information into Accumatch.
  • Complete assigned paperwork and records accurately.
  • Support area personnel as needed.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as required.
  • Assist with file maintenance, portfolio maintenance, credits/debits, and payoffs.
  • Process paid loans.
  • Assist with scanning loan documentation and supporting documents.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and general computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment.

Preferred qualifications include a moderate level of banking knowledge.

Work Environment

The Loan Assistant will work in a climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. Occasional travel may be required.

Physical demands include sitting, using hands in repetitive motions, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, lifting, and reaching may be required.
