Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes and providing exceptional guest service.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including grilled, fried, broiled, baked, boiled, braised, and poached items.
• Ensure that all plates and pans served are aesthetically appealing and cooked to the specifications of the customer and the chef.
• Recognize and properly place a variety of sauces on all entrees featured on daily menus.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist co-workers to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
• Perform duties for special events and parties, as needed.
• Ensure the proper storing of food and equipment, and report any safety failures or hazardous areas.
• Assist with closing down workstations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
• Train new team members on cooking procedures, recipes, and equipment knowledge.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house leaders on daily operation situations.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; culinary apprenticeship or associate degree preferred.
• Valid licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
• Ability to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 pounds.
