We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our neurodiagnostics team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury and disease.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various EP and EEG procedures on patients, including BAER, Portable BAER, SER, Portable SER, VER, and Intraoperative Evoked Potential Monitoring.
- Apply non-routine recording parameters and special recording techniques to record eye movements, muscle activity, ECG, chest wall movement, tongue movements, and nasal and oral air flow.
- Recognize and eliminate artifact and electrical interference to obtain high-quality tracings.
- Provide patient care and detailed observations of clinical manifestations during seizures and other patient-emergency situations.
- Participate in conferences, technical meetings, and other educational activities.
- Write summaries of patient neurological status and clinical history.
- Explain procedures to patients and family members.
- Registered by the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists or eligible for registration.
- Board eligible for Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring.
- At least two years of experience in EEG and one year of experience in EP.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Bachelors Degree in Health Sciences or related field.
- Proficient in computer operations/technology.
