Neuro CNIM Technologist

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Neuro CNIM Technologist to join our team. As a Neuro CNIM Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury and disease. Your expertise will be essential in preparing patients for testing, collecting relevant information, and providing high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Perform EP and EEG procedures on patients with possible neurologic injury and disease.
- Prepare patients for testing and collect relevant information.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Recognize and eliminate artifact and electrical interference to obtain high-quality tracings.
- Display each patient's activity in an optimal fashion for clinical interpretation.
- Provide patient care and detailed observations during seizures and other emergency situations.
- Participate in conferences, technical meetings, and educational activities.
- Write summaries of patient neurological status and clinical history.
- Explain procedures to patients and family members.
- Answer phones, schedule procedures, and attend to front office responsibilities.
- Facilitate equipment and patient transportation.
- Maintain department records and prepare tracings for storage.
- Contribute to the Continuous Quality Improvement program.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field.
- Registration by the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists.
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring.
- Current CPR certificate.
- At least two years of experience in EEG and EP.
- Proficient in computer operations/technology.
