The Facilities Operations Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of maintenance, engineering, and landscaping services within our esteemed retirement community. This position is crucial for delivering high-quality services to both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee a comprehensive "Cost Efficiency Initiative" that aligns with the building management systems in place.
- Guarantee optimal performance of plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling systems to meet varying demands.
- Conduct training sessions for maintenance, engineering, and grounds personnel to enhance their understanding of the equipment and systems they manage.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations regarding facility operations.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for Maintenance, Engineering, and Grounds departments.
- Analyze monthly financial reports for accuracy and identify discrepancies between actual and projected outcomes.
- Maintain aesthetically pleasing and well-kept grounds.
- Utilize maintenance, engineering, and grounds staff efficiently, considering outsourcing options when it is more cost-effective without compromising service quality.

- A college degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Sciences, or a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management with supervisory responsibilities, particularly in Mechanical, Electrical, Life Safety, and Fire Protection Systems.
- Experience in healthcare settings is advantageous, particularly with an emphasis on the Environment of Care.
- Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential.
- Certification in CPMM is required, or the ability to obtain it within one year of employment; CPE certification is preferred.
- State-specific licensing or certification may be necessary.
