Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will work within a retail pharmacy setting, interacting with patients and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Develop expertise in all areas of pharmacy distribution, including order entry, medication retrieval, inventory management, and patient care.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the pharmacy by assisting with various tasks such as phone calls, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience in a retail setting is preferred but not required.
- Experience working directly with the public is preferred but not required.
- Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and hold national certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
