Job Summary

The Underground Distribution Systems Supervisor is a key position at Shelton Energy Solutions, responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems. This role requires a skilled and experienced individual to lead construction crews and ensure the safety, quality, and productivity of all crew members.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all responsibilities of an Underground Class A Lineman, including leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive procedures.
  • Responsible for crew administration and equipment management, as well as interacting with employees, customers, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Adhere to safety and performance standards, maintain time and material records for the assigned job, and ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and abilities by participating in continuing education activities, and other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
  1. High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the electrical services industry.
  2. Complete OSHA 30 Safety Training Program within 90 days, and CDL class A license preferred.
  3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements.
  4. Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Travel

The Underground Distribution Systems Supervisor will work in various environments, including underground in confined spaces or outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions. The role requires prolonged and repeated lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, as well as working within the red zone of heavy equipment. The ability to work safely requires quick and accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as dictated by position.

Travel Required

The Underground Distribution Systems Supervisor will be required to travel and work on-call, irregular hours, and emergency response.
