About the Role

We are seeking a remarkable Director of Sales & Marketing for Fredericksburg, VA. Your expertise will shape our success:

  • Sales Development and Implementation: Develop and execute total sales efforts to secure new accounts, maintain existing ones, and maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with key clients to produce group business, including room sales, F&B sales, and catering/banquet services.
  • Networking and Community Engagement: Attend events, develop local partnerships, and engage with officials and representatives to generate sales for the hotel.
  • Site Tours and Customer Service: Conduct site tours and maintain exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.
  • Departmental Budgeting and Performance Monitoring: Develop and manage departmental budgets and monitor sales activity to meet or exceed established profit plans.

You Will Succeed If You Are:

  • A seasoned Director of Sales with 2+ years of hotel sales experience.
  • Familiar with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt sales processes and systems.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Display initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills.
  • A team player, professional, and leader with integrity.
  • Available to meet guests, including weekends.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Engaged, authentic, and prepared to prospect, sell, and maintain accounts to positively impact revenues.
