Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance department, ensuring the effective operation of physical plant and environmental systems, as well as the upkeep of facility grounds.


Qualifications:

Education: Graduation from an appropriate technical or trade school.

Experience: A minimum of five years in building maintenance, with at least one year in a supervisory role preferred.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and oversee the repair and maintenance of machinery, tools, and equipment to guarantee efficient operations.
  • Direct and engage in maintenance activities on utility systems to ensure a continuous supply of essential services.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Prepare and manage the department budget, monitoring expenditures.
  • Recommend improvements for operational efficiency and equipment conditions.
  • Order necessary tools, equipment, and supplies for operations.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to discuss equipment needs and modifications.
  • Ensure the grounds are attractive and well-maintained.
  • Participate in the facility's Performance Improvement Program.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations related to plant equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other safety regulations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a workforce effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents, their families, and all organizational levels.
