Role Summary

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and aesthetic appeal of our properties. Your duties will encompass a variety of maintenance tasks, addressing resident requests, and preparing units for new occupants, all while upholding the standards of the DTN brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage resident service requests, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of property grounds to maintain visual appeal.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • Keep work areas organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Assist in preparing units for new residents, including cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and communication standards.
  • Support the maintenance and cleanliness of communal areas, including pools.
  • Deliver communications to residents as needed.
  • Complete site inspection checklists as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of service requests and maintenance activities.
  • Follow all Fair Housing regulations.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic understanding of building systems and maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Reliable transportation for work-related travel.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the organization.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry weights as necessary.
  • Availability for after-hours emergency responses.
  • Basic maintenance tools are necessary.
