Job Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of Adient's facilities to ensure optimal operating results. This includes inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, generators, UPS, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments to meet the company's needs.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Inspect buildings to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
  • Supervise facilities staff and external contractors to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Control activities such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, and building security.
  • Allocate office space according to business needs.
  • Handle insurance plans and service contracts.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records.
  • Perform analysis and forecasting to inform business decisions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Five years of related experience, with industrial automotive experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and think proactively.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Good analytical/critical thinking.
