Private Equity Associate/Senior Associate Job Description

A well-established Private Equity firm in the DMV region is seeking to expand its team at the Associate and Senior Associate levels.

The firm invests with a Generalist approach, performing buyout investments with LMM organizations. With some of the best tenure in the business, the firm offers a competitive compensation package and a career track-type role.

As an Associate or Senior Associate, you will have ample responsibility and wear many hats. Your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diligence and execution of private equity investment opportunities and transactions across various industries
  • Investment sourcing and evaluation, including building and managing sourcing channels, deal flow, and prioritizing the transaction pipeline
  • Financial modeling, including analysis of financial statements, valuations, returns, and competitive ratios
  • Creation of investment presentations and transaction memos regarding new investment opportunities
  • Evaluation and monitoring of the ongoing performance of portfolio company investments
  • Participation in fund-raising presentations and marketing
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of Investment Banking experience required for the Associate position (ideally M&A banking)
  • 4 years of Investment Banking and/or Private Equity experience for the Senior Associate position
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Strong modeling and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A desire to live and work in the DMV region
