Position Overview:

As a Service Technician at Everglades Equipment Group, you will be integral to the upkeep and repair of a variety of agricultural, lawn care, and construction machinery. Your responsibilities will encompass both in-shop and field service tasks, requiring a blend of mechanical expertise and technical diagnostic abilities. A fundamental tool kit is necessary, along with proficiency in utilizing product support software and computer applications for managing work orders and customer billing. Establishing strong customer relationships, resolving issues, and promoting a collaborative team environment are essential components of this position. Adhering to safety standards is critical at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience in machinery maintenance, preferably in Agricultural, Lawn care, or Construction industries
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License
  • Proven mechanical skills, particularly with z-tracks and 2 Stroke machinery
  • Certification in automotive air-conditioning is required
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and troubleshoot system issues
  • Competence in interpreting electrical schematics and diagnosing electronic problems
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
  • Familiarity with telematics systems is a plus
  • Strong communication abilities, complemented by a good sense of humor
  • Capability to maintain organized documentation
  • Basic skills in data entry and report generation
  • Aptitude for thriving in fast-paced settings, extreme conditions, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Team-oriented approach
  • Self-driven and motivated to achieve excellence
