Job Summary:

The CAD Technician will be responsible for inputting existing record drawing information into the Utility's service area digital map. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Input existing record drawing information into the Utility's service area digital map
  • Interpret new construction and conversion digital as-builts
  • Interpret subcontracted new construction paper-based as-builts
  • Interpret residential site plan information for inclusion in the Utility's service area digital map
  • Make field inspections to verify or gather field data as necessary
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma supplemented by one year of college-level coursework in drafting
  • One year of experience in civil engineering drafting and a minimum of one year of AutoDesk Map CADD/computer experience in a Utility Systems environment
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and maintenance of a clean driving record
Work Environment:

The CAD Technician will work in a fast-paced office environment with moderate noise levels. The role requires regular attendance and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
