Job Overview:

The Label Specification Coordinator is tasked with the critical role of verifying the precision of regulatory label content and endorsing the label specifications presented for the Private Brands onboarding initiative into the Private Brands Product and Packaging Specification System. This contract position is designed to facilitate the initial integration of existing food and non-food items into the new specification framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine, authenticate, and approve label content submitted within the Product & Packaging Specification in alignment with current label artwork PDFs for the onboarding of product specifications for both food and non-food items.
  • Detect discrepancies and relay necessary modifications to label specifications through both written and verbal communication to suppliers, while escalating concerns that may necessitate label revisions to the business team.
  • Collaborate with the product excellence team to ensure that supplier requirements are fulfilled within the label specifications prior to final approval.
  • Gather and upload current label artwork PDFs utilized for review into the Product Files as part of the label specification review and endorsement process.
  • Maintain a fundamental understanding of the information required to be displayed on packaging in accordance with USDA, FDA, FTC, and State regulations.

Required Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Essential Skills:

  • Basic understanding of product and food labeling regulations (USDA, FDA, FTC, State)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
